The AL-KO O-Rings for Friction Pads (2 Pack) are genuine replacement seals designed for use with AL-KO AKS 2004 and AKS 3004 stabiliser couplings — the widely used anti-snaking hitch systems on touring caravans.
These O-rings sit around the friction pads within the stabiliser head assembly to help seal and cushion the pad mounts, reducing unwanted ingress of dirt and moisture while ensuring smooth sliding contact where needed. Over time, O-rings can become worn, cracked or missing, which can affect stabiliser performance or lead to accelerated wear of the pad track surfaces.
Fitting fresh O-rings helps your stabiliser maintain smooth engagement with the towball for confident towing stability.
🛞 Pack of 2 Genuine AL-KO O-Rings – Designed to suit AL-KO friction pad assemblies for AKS 2004/3004 stabilisers.
🔧 Helps Seal & Protect – Prevents dirt, moisture and contaminants from entering the stabiliser head around the pad mounts.
🧰 Enhances Smooth Pad Movement – Maintains smooth engagement of friction pads for reliable anti-snaking action.
📏 Direct Replacement Spare – Great for maintenance and repair when original seals show wear or have degraded.
2 × AL-KO O-rings — genuine seals sized specifically for stabiliser friction pad assemblies.
Friction pad stabilisers like the AKS 2004/3004 work by pressing friction pads against the towball to suppress snaking and improve towing stability. The pad assembly moves slightly as it engages and disengages, and the O-rings help provide sealing and controlled movement around this interface. Worn or missing O-rings can allow grit or water into moving parts, potentially increasing pad wear or reducing smooth action. ✔️
By fitting new O-rings during routine stabiliser maintenance or when replacing pads, you help preserve coupling performance and prolong component life — especially important in wet or muddy conditions
