The Fiamma Moonlight Tent is a roof tent designed for minivans, SUVs, and any vehicle equipped with roof rails. This Moonlight Tent 180 model is approved and suited to sleeping three people.

The tent is designed to be used with vehicles equipped with roof rails. It is compatible with roof bars that are approved for a load capacity of over 75kg and a width of over 78cm.

The Moonlight Tent is also compatible with wall awnings, adding to the outdoor living space and functionality.

The tent features mosquito nets and blackout blinds that can be opened on all four sides, providing ventilation options and privacy, whilst keeping mosquitos and flies out. The rain cover windows ensure visibility whilst shielding from the rain.

YKK closing hinges ensure durability and reliable closure. The curtain is made of 200g/m2 poly-cotton canvas for a balance of strength and breathability.

The cover is constructed with Oxford 210D material. The tent comes with a waterproof cover bag, adding to its protection and longevity. The cover bag is made of Oxford 700D material, providing durability and protection during storage.

The tent is equipped with a 2.30-meter aluminium ladder with a maximum load capacity of 150kg, to access the tent.

Other features include an interior LED strip with adjustable light intensity, enhancing the convenience and ambiance inside the tent.

  This is a roof-mounted rooftop tent designed for outdoor travel and camping. It installs on the roof of vehicles such as minivans, SUVs and cars that are equipped with roof rails and suitable roof bars.

  Where it goes

  • Installed on top of your vehicle using roof bars that are rated to carry the weight of the tent.

  How it is fitted

  Before you start
  ✔ Confirm your vehicle’s roof load limit (check the vehicle manual) and ensure your roof bars and rails are compatible / rated > 75 kg.
  ✔ Have two people available — rooftop tents are heavy (~62 kg) and require teamwork.
  ✔ Tools you might need: ratchet/spanner set, torque wrench, protective gloves.

  Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Prepare the roof bars

     • Position your roof bars at the recommended spacing (check both the vehicle and tent instructions).

     • Ensure bars are securely tightened and level.

  2. Position the tent on the bars

     • With help, lift the tent onto the roof bars.

     • Align the tent’s base mounting channels with the bars so the supplied brackets can reach around them.

  3. Secure the mounting brackets

     • Attach the mounting brackets under each cross bar through the slots in the tent base.

     • Tighten all fixings evenly — do not overtighten, but ensure a secure fit.

  4. Double-check torque and security

     • Use a torque wrench to tighten bolts to the manufacturer’s recommended settings (if specified in the manual).

     • Check that the tent does not shift or move on the bars.

  5. Setting up the tent for camping

     • Once fixed, unsnap/unlatch the outer cover.

     • Pull out and extend the integrated aluminium ladder to the ground.

     • Unfold the tent panels — it typically opens in minutes.
