The First Need XLE Replacement Canister installs inside a First Need XLE water purification system. It replaces the spent filter cartridge within the purifier housing and is typically located under a sink, inside a cupboard, or in a service locker in motorhomes, caravans, boats, or off-grid water systems.

This canister is not a standalone purifier — it must be fitted into an existing First Need XLE unit.

How is it fitted

Before you start

• Turn off the water supply feeding the purifier.

• Relieve pressure by opening the purifier tap (if fitted).

• Have a cloth or small container ready for residual water.

Step-by-step fitting

1. Open the purifier housing

   • Unscrew or release the main filter housing according to your First Need XLE unit design.

2. Remove the old canister

   • Pull the used canister straight out of the housing.

   • Dispose of it according to local waste guidance.

3. Prepare the new canister

   • Remove all packaging.

   • Check that any O-rings/seals are present and clean.

4. Insert the replacement canister

   • Slide the First Need XLE replacement canister into the housing, ensuring it seats fully and correctly.

5. Reassemble the housing

   • Refit and tighten the housing by hand until snug.

   • Do not overtighten.

6. Restore water supply & flush

   • Turn the water supply back on slowly.

   • Run water through the system for several minutes to flush air and carbon fines.

   • Check carefully for leaks.
