The Menabo Leopard Silver Duo Rail Roof Bars (0000-88700000) mount across your car’s roof onto the vehicle’s existing longitudinal roof rails (the two rails that run front-to-back on the roof). They’re designed for vehicles with raised or flush/integrated rails (not for a bare/smooth roof with no rails).

How is it fitted

Before you start

• Check your vehicle’s maximum roof load in the owner’s manual. The allowed roof load is the weight of the bars + the weight of the cargo/accessory.

• Max bar set load is 75kg (also limited by your vehicle rating—use the lower figure).

• Don’t exceed 130 km/h (80 mph) and adjust speed to suit the load.

Step-by-step fitting (typical Leopard “Duo Rail” fitment)

1. Assemble the bars

   • Fit the feet/clamps onto each bar (left/right as supplied).

   • If supplied, slide/fit the rubber strip into the top channel (helps reduce wind noise).

2. Set the bar spacing

   • Position the front and rear bar on the roof rails and set them at least 70cm apart (minimum recommended spacing).

3. Position the bars correctly

   • Center each bar side-to-side so the overhang looks even.

   • Keep both bars parallel and seated squarely on the rails.

4. Clamp onto the rails

   • Open the clamp/strap mechanism, wrap/locate it around the rail (depending on your rail style), then snug it up evenly on both sides.

5. Tighten to the correct torque

   • Tighten each side evenly until secure.

   • The installation guide indicates 6 Nm tightening torque.

6. Lock (if your kit includes locks)

   • Fit the end caps and engage the anti-theft locks.

7. Final checks

   • Shake each bar firmly—there should be no movement.

   • Re-check tightness after a short drive and periodically thereafter.

   • Remove bars before using an automatic car wash.

   • Fits: Vehicles with raised or flush/integrated roof rails

   • Does not fit: Vehicles with no rails / smooth roof (those need a dedicated fixing kit system
