Golden Film SAE 30 is a high-quality, low detergent/dispersant monograde engine oil, ideal for naturally aspirated petrol and diesel engines, as well as certain gearbox designs. This oil is specifically recommended for veteran, classic, and vintage cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, and tractors where modern multigrade oils with high additive levels are unsuitable.

Due to the limited filtration systems (such as mesh gauze or strainers) in older engines, Golden Film’s low dispersant properties allow combustion contaminants to settle safely in the sump, rather than remaining suspended. It also features enhanced anti-foam properties for optimal performance in classic motorcycle and automotive gearbox designs.

Golden Film SAE 30 is particularly well-suited for lightly loaded diesel engines in canal boats, watercraft, and older generators (e.g. Lister, Perkins), where it helps reduce bore glazing. It is also an ideal choice for 1960s/70s VW air-cooled engines without full-flow filters.
