MPK Gas Outlet Box with Valve - Signal White - MPK5067SW

The MPK Gas Outlet Box with Valve in Signal White is a component commonly installed in caravans and motor homes to facilitate the connection of external gas appliances, such as barbecues or heaters, to the vehicle's internal gas supply. This outlet box allows users to safely and conveniently access the onboard gas system from the exterior of the vehicle.

Key Features:

  • Integrated Valve: Equipped with a built-in valve to control gas flow, ensuring safety during connection and disconnection of appliances.

  • Standard Pressure Compatibility: Designed to operate with gas pressures ranging from 30 to 50 mbar, aligning with common standards in caravans and motorhomes.

This gas outlet box with integrated valve is fitted to the exterior wall of a caravan, motor home, camper van or similar leisure vehicle to provide a dedicated connection point for external gas appliances (for example a BBQ or outdoor heater) using the vehicle’s internal LPG supply.

    Typical install position:

    • Outside of the living area — usually on a side panel or near the rear of the vehicle, at a convenient height for hose/connectors.

    • Positioned where it integrates with the internal LPG pipework behind the wall surface.

Note: This is a gas connection outlet and should not be used as a random plumbing or electrical access point — it connects to your vehicle’s LPG system. A qualified installer must fit it to comply with safety standards.

    How It Is Fitted

    ⚠️ Safety first:
Gas work must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered technician or equivalent qualified installer. Improper installation can lead to dangerous gas leaks or fire risk.

    Before You Start

✔ Confirm the outlet position does not conflict with interior fittings and allows clear external access.
✔ Ensure your LPG system pressure is in the correct range (typically 30–50 mbar for caravan/motor home systems).
✔ Tools & materials: drill with suitable bits, jigsaw or hole saw, sealant (weatherproof), screws, LPG-rated piping / fittings, safety goggles.
✔ Turn off LPG supply and isolate the gas system before work begins.

    Step-by-Step Fitting

    1. Mark & Cut the Mounting Hole

      • Choose a level, accessible exterior panel.

      • Mark the cut-out size according to the outlet box dimensions (refer to manufacturer template).

      • Cut the opening with a jigsaw/hole saw; de-bur edges.

    2. Route the Internal Gas Line

      • Bring your LPG supply line to the selected position inside the vehicle.

      • Prepare the LPG pipe (typically 8 mm) so it can be connected to the outlet valve.

      • Ensure the length is sufficient for a secure connection to the outlet’s valve body.

    3. Insert the Outlet Box

      • Slide the outlet box body into the cut opening from the outside.

      • Position it flush to the panel surface.

    4. Secure the Outlet Box

      • Fix the unit with screws provided or suitable stainless fasteners.

      • Make sure the box’s flange seals to the exterior to prevent water ingress.

    5. Connect Gas to Valve

      • Connect the internal LPG pipework to the outlet valve fitting.

      • Use appropriate LPG-rated fittings and clamps; ensure all connections are tight.

      • A qualified installer will use approved LPG pipe and sealing methods.

    6. Seal & Weatherproof

      • Apply exterior sealant around the outlet perimeter to prevent moisture entry.

      • Check that moving parts (valve handle) operate freely without binding.

    7. Pressure Test & Commission

      • After installation, the installer should pressure-test the system to ensure no leaks.

      • Turn on LPG and use a leak detection solution on all connections.

    Quick Fit Notes

    • Install location: Exterior side panel of caravan/motorhome — accessible for external connections.

    • Purpose: Provides a gas connection point (with valve) for appliances such as BBQs, grills, heaters.

    • Gas type: LPG low-pressure systems (30–50 mbar) typical in leisure vehicles.

    • Material colour: Signal white — blends with many vehicle exteriors.

    • Installation: Must be installed by a qualified gas engineer to meet safety standards.

Pro tip: After installation, label the outlet (e.g., “Gas BBQ Point”) inside the habitation area and keep a quick-release gas hose handy for connecting appliances safel

Signal White Finish: The signal white color provides a clean and unobtrusive appearance, blending seamlessly with most vehicle exteriors.
