Where This Goes

The SOG plug is a small access/closure part used with SOG ventilation systems and cassette toilets. It’s designed to seal the toilet’s ventilation opening when a SOG unit is not fitted or during transport/cleaning, so odours and light cannot escape the toilet cassette.

Fits in:

• SOG and SOG II ventilation systems (door or floor models)

• Thetford cassette toilets: C2, C3, C4, C220, C250, C260, C400

• Porta Potti portable toilets (2009 onwards and compatible models)

• Many Dometic toilet models with compatible vent interfaces

The plug is placed in the ventilation port or fan hose opening where the SOG hose or fan would normally connect — effectively blocking the hole to prevent smells or air exchange when the SOG system is not in use.

How It Is Fitted

Before You Start

✔ Ensure your toilet model and SOG system are among those listed as compatible (see above).
✔ Prepare a clean, dry working area in the toilet compartment.

Step-by-Step Fitting

1. Locate the ventilation opening

   • Open the toilet service door or access panel on your cassette toilet.

   • Identify the circular port/hose connection where the SOG unit or fan normally connects.

2. Prepare the opening for the plug

   • If a ventilation hose or adaptor piece is present, remove it so the port is clear.

   • Ensure the opening is free from dirt or loose debris.

3. Insert the SOG plug

   • Position the SOG plug with its sealing end facing into the port.

   • Slide or push the plug into the opening until it seats securely — the plug should fit snugly without wobbling.

4. Check fit and seal

   • Gently tug the plug to confirm it is secure.

   • The plug should sit flush and create a simple closure against unwanted airflow.

5. Replace any access panel/door

   • Close the service door or cassette access door.

   • The toilet is now sealed for travel, storage, or when a SOG fan is not installed.
