Baraldi are one of the leading manufacturers of extractor hoods in Italy, with 50 years experience in the market. The Surf one has a very innovative design which has no equal on the market. It is wholly made of stainless steel and satin plexiglass. This model doesn't have to be vented through the side wall or the roof of the vehicle, it utilises a carbon active filter that purifies aspired air. Complete with 2 x low 4000KW neutral white spotlights.Max power 2.65W.
The Surf One Filter Cooker Hood (01SURFONE045ST12) is installed inside a caravan, motorhome or campervan, directly above the cooker or hob.
It is a recirculating cooker hood, meaning it filters cooking fumes and odours through an internal filter rather than venting air outside the vehicle.
Typical installation locations:
Under an overhead cupboard above the cooker
Mounted to the underside of a wall cabinet
Fixed to an interior wall panel above the hob
This hood is designed specifically for leisure vehicle kitchens, where external ducting is not always practical.
Safety note:
This is a 12 V electrical appliance. Installation should be carried out by a competent person. Always isolate the 12 V supply before fitting.
Switch off the 12 V power supply
Ensure the mounting surface is flat, rigid and heat-resistant
Confirm there is adequate clearance above the cooker (as per vehicle/cooker guidance)
Tools required: screwdriver, drill, small drill bit, measuring tape, pencil
Choose the mounting position
Position the hood centrally above the cooker/hob.
Ensure it is high enough to avoid direct heat but close enough to capture fumes.
Mark fixing points
Hold the cooker hood in place and mark the screw holes on the cupboard base or wall panel.
Prepare pilot holes
Drill small pilot holes at the marked positions to prevent splitting panels.
Secure the cooker hood
Fix the hood in place using the supplied screws.
Ensure it is firmly mounted and does not vibrate.
Electrical connection (12 V)
Connect the hood wiring to the vehicle’s 12 V DC supply:
Positive (+) to 12 V feed
Negative (–) to ground
Ensure wiring is routed safely away from heat sources.
Fit the filter
Insert the recirculating filter into the hood (if not pre-fitted).
Ensure it is seated correctly behind the intake grille.
Restore power & test
Reconnect the 12 V supply.
Switch the hood on and confirm the fan and light (if fitted) operate correctly.
