Rules have changed regarding the national identifier on license plates when driving internationally - from 28 September 2021, UK registered vehicles must now display the letters 'UK'. This replaces the previously used 'GB' lettering.

This can either be incorporated in the vehicle number plate where it must be combined with the Union Jack, or displayed as a separate sticker on the rear of the vehicle.
