Whale High Flow Submersible Pump 14LPM 12V - GP1652

The Whale High Flow Submersible Pump 14 LPM 12 V (GP1652) is designed to sit directly inside a fresh water container or onboard water tank in a caravan, motorhome, campervan or boat.

It is a submersible pump, meaning:

• The pump body is fully submerged in water

• It draws water from the tank and feeds it to the vehicle’s pressurised cold-water system

• It connects to the vehicle via a Whale pump socket or Easi-Slide connector

This pump is commonly used in:

• External Aquaroll-style water containers

• Onboard fresh water tanks

• Leisure vehicles using Whale submersible pump systems

How is it fitted

Important: This is a low-voltage 12 V DC pump designed for clean fresh water only. Installation is suitable for competent DIY users.

Before you start

• Switch off the vehicle’s 12 V power supply

• Ensure the water container/tank is clean

• Confirm compatibility with your Whale pump socket or pressure switch system

• No tools are usually required

Step-by-step fitting

1. Prepare the water container

   • Remove the container cap or access hatch.

   • Ensure there is enough water to fully submerge the pump during use.

2. Insert the pump

   • Lower the Whale GP1652 submersible pump into the water tank.

   • The pump should sit freely at the bottom of the container.

3. Position the outlet hose

   • Feed the outlet hose up through the container opening.

   • Make sure the hose is not kinked or trapped.

4. Connect the electrical plug

   • Plug the pump’s connector into the vehicle’s Whale pump socket / Easi-Slide connector.

   • This provides both power and pump control.

5. Secure the container

   • Refit the container cap or lid, ensuring the cable and hose are seated correctly.

6. Test operation

   • Restore 12 V power.

   • Open a tap inside the vehicle — the pump should start automatically.

   • Close taps to confirm the pump stops.

Pro tip

Always keep the pump fully submerged during use. Running the pump dry can cause damage and shorten its lifespan. For winter storage, remove the pump, drain it, and store it somewhere dry
